August 2012 Meeting Homeschool Notifications

August PEACH Meeting
Thursday, August 9th @ 7pm
WELCOME to our 2012-2013 PEACH Homeschool Year!

Homeschoolers in the state of Ohio are required to send a Notice of Intent to Homeschool to their local school district, and an assessment every subsequent year.  Sounds simple, right? But when faced with forms, interpreting state statutes, and communicating with the contact person in the local school district, it can be a bit intimidating.

Many of our members are seasoned homeschoolers, and one of our veteran PEACHes, a homeschooler for 23 years, has graciously agreed to give us the benefit of her experience and speak at our Annual Notification Meeting. She will explain all the forms line by line, and answer questions about testing and assessments.

Following the Homeschool Notification presentation, there will be an Officer Panel introducing this year’s PEACH Leadership.

Stay for fun and fellowship (and cookies!) in the Fellowship Hall and connect with your fellow PEACHes.

The doors open at 6:45pm– don’t forget to sign in at the Welcome Desk!
