Please spread the word about our October 11th PEACH Meeting at Arrowbrook Baptist Church. We have asked charitable and nonprofit agencies from our area to come to PEACH and present the work that they do in our communities, and explain how we can help.
During the first hour of the meeting, we will have speakers and presentations from:
- Operation Christmas Child
- Miami Valley Women’s Center
- Dayton Gospel Mission/Camp Jabez
- Greene County Commission on Aging
We will then dismiss and meet in the outbuilding behind the church for some fellowship and Q&A with even more representatives from:
- 4Paws for Ability
- 4H International Student Exchange
- Hannah’s Treasure Chest
We may add to that list as others confirm their availability.
Homeschoolers are sometimes stereotyped as being withdrawn from society and uninvolved in their communities, but we know that many homeschoolers are active volunteers, or are seeking ways to be involved through their churches and groups such as those who will be sending representatives to this PEACH Meeting.
Whether you have one child or several, teens or little ones, there is something each of us can do to help those who are disabled or in need of physical, financial, or spiritual help. If you are looking for ways to serve the community as a family, or have a high school student looking for service projects, this meeting will bring many of these opportunities to you.
Feel free to invite anyone who might be interested- all PEACH meetings are FREE and open to the public!
