How do I join PEACH?

The PEACH Team is excited about planning the next homeschool year and fulfilling our mission to provide information, encouragement, and fellowship to Miami Valley homeschoolers.

Our first meeting is the second Thursday in August from 7-9pm, and this meeting always focuses on notification procedures for the state of Ohio, as well as providing information about all of the services PEACH provides to members. So – if you are new to homeschooling or have some questions about PEACH, you are welcome to attend, meet the Leadership Team, and network with area homeschoolers.

All of our monthly meetings are free and open to the public, and take place on the second Thursday of each month from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Arrowbrook Baptist Church in Xenia.

If you choose to join PEACH, the Annual Membership dues are only $20 per year.

Membership for the new PEACH year will open on July 1st. You may use the “Contact” button and fill out the form. You will be sent an ‘invitation’ to join, which gives you access to PEACHOnline (our private online network), as well as our Care Groups, Field Trips, Spelling Bee, Graduation, School Portraits, Children’s Craft Sale, Shining Stars Showcase, and other opportunities for homeschooling parents and students. You can also join at the Welcome Desk at one of our monthly PEACH Meetings.

We are a Christian group, so please read the Statement of Faith, ByLaws and Policies located under the About Us tab. Also, according to our bylaws, we define homeschooling as
“a parent/guardian providing annual notification of home schooling to the appropriate superintendent (Ohio Code 3301-34-03), directing 50% or more of the education at home and being personally responsible for funding the education (Ohio Code 3301-34-01). A second option for home education allowed by HSLDA and Ohio Code 3301-35-08 is for non-chartered schools (“08” schools). These are allowed if the parent is the administrator. The “08” school parent must have a bachelor’s degree and oppose government controlled education because of religious beliefs.”
This means that those who use virtual/cyber schools are not eligible for membership in PEACH. Virtual schools like Ohio Virtual Academy or Ohio Connections Academy are defined by law as public school students.
Please feel free to use the “Contact” button with any questions you may have.
