February Curriculum Fair Recap, or what you missed if you weren’t there!

Last night’s meeting was what happens when a homeschool support group gathers together to support homeshooling. So many PEACHes volunteered to make last night’s meeting such a success!

The meeting began with  an important explanation of  our officer nomination and voting process by current President Heather Lee. Even though we use terms such as ‘nominate’ and ‘elect’,  the Leadership Team works together to fulfill PEACH’s homeschool mission.
We are a Christian organization dedicated to providing support, encouragement and fellowship for homeschoolers in the Southern Ohio area.
Next, one of our homeschool veterans gave a fun and informative workshop on “How To Survive a Homeschool Convention”, complete with display of her favorite convention survival gear and an outline for planning your next convention visit.
Our fair volunteers brought so much energy and excitement with them, as well as tables full of materials for people to look at and ask questions about. Some of the curricula on display were:
And that’s just a sample of what was represented last night. The entire meeting was positive and encouraging- our PEACHes are awesome!
We also had drawings for door prizes to celebrate Valentine’s Day:
  • a Tim Horton Donut Date
  • James Dobson’s Night Light for Couples Devotional Book
  • His and Hers 1 lb. chocolate bars
  • Popcorn and a movie
  • Cheryl’s cookies
One of our PEACH parents organized a Valentine exchange for the kids. We simply could not be a ‘support group’ without all the support we get from our PEACH members. Each and every one is SO appreciated.
Don’t miss the opportunity to meet all of our amazing homeschool families- come visit us soon!
